Bert Somsin

Bio

Bert Somsin joined onsemi in September 2023 and currently serves as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, responsible for all global HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Diversity and Inclusion, Learning and Development, Workforce Planning and more.

Bert has an impressive career working for industry-leading, forward-thinking organizations, bringing over 15 years of expertise that provides valuable insight into key programs for the company.

Before joining onsemi, he served as the Director of Human Resources at Tesla, where he supported the chief people officer and senior vice president of global operations, overseeing major Tesla hubs in California, Nevada and New York. Prior to that, he worked for the United Parcel Service (UPS) for 14 years, moving through the ranks to ultimately be their global IT director of human resources.

He holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno.
