Fun fact: onsemi’s corporate headquarters in Phoenix recently hosted two interns from our manufacturing site in the Czech Republic. If you think semiconductors are cool, just wait until you hear about silicon carbide (SiC), a key component of next-generation semiconductors. It’s made from silicon carbide powder and graphite raw materials, and it helps improve system efficiency in electric vehicles, EV charging and energy infrastructure. This critical technology is an important contributor to decarbonization and onsemi’s net-zero goal.)
With the recent expansion of our silicon carbide production facility in Hudson, New Hampshire, U.S., we’re slated to increase SiC production capacity five times year-over-year as we continue to make progress toward SiC leadership.
